Fish Kabab is a special dish which is used for parties, occasions or as a side dish. It is a dish is very much liked by children and cooked many times at Sunday Occasions. Mostly served with sauce at party occasions.
1 kg boiled fish
2 large onions finely chopped
4 potatoes cooked and mashed
4 green chillies, finely choppped
few coriander leaves, finely chopped
1 inch piece of fresh root ginger, finely chopped
1/2 tsp chilli powder
salt and pepper
4 eggs beaten
dry breadcrumbs for coating
oil for deep frying
lemon wedges for garnishing
1 Remove the fish bones and mash the fish meat
2 Mix in the onions and mashed potatoes
3 Then add green chillies, coriander, ginger and chilli powder
4 Add salt and pepper, according to taste
5 Add 1 beaten egg to bind the mixture
6 Divide the mixture in 8 pieces
7 Roll into balls and flatten them to round shapes
8 Deep these into beaten egg, and then coat them with breadcrumbs
9 Deep fry them till both the sides are brown
10 Garnish them with lemon wedges
