    Best Christmas Steamed Pudding Recipe is a very popular christmas dish, prepared to have after dinner. To Make Steamed Pudding is very easy and this recipe is mostly prepared for Xmas. Steamed Pudding can be served with brandy sauce, ice cream or custard. Check our other sweetdish recipes

    Ingredients for Best Christmas Steamed Pudding

    1/4 cup candied orange and lemon peels chopped

    1/4 cup seedless dates chopped

    1/2 cup cashew nuts chopped

    1/4 cup currants chopped

    1/4 cup raisins chopped

    2 tbsp brandy

    2 tbsp lemon juice

    1/4 refined flour

    1/4 tsp cinnamon powder

    1/4 tsp clove powder

    1/4 tsp nutmug powder

    1+1/2 cup fresh white bread crumbs

    6 tbsp butter

    3/4 cup brown sugar

    2 eggs beaten

    3 cups water


    Directions for Best Christmas Steamed Pudding

    1Mix well orange and lemon peel, dates, cashewnuts, currants, raisins, brandy and lemon juice.

    2Sift together flour, cinnamon, clove and nuteg powders, Mix in breadcrumbs.

    3Mix butter and sugar. Beat till light and fluffy. Gradually add eggs, beating well after each addition. Fold in prepared flour and fruits and nuts mixtures.

    4Spoon the mixture into a greased 1 litre mould, Cover mould tightly with grease-proof paper or aluminium foil securely tied.

    5Spoon the mixture in to the greased pudding basin, gently putting the mixture . Cover the mould tightly with grease proof papar or aluminium foil securely tied.

    6Place the pudding in a steamer and steam the pudding for 3 hours. Check the water level frequently, the water should not dry

    7Remove the pudding from the steamer, and let it cool naturally.

    8Remove the wrappings and again wrap it tightly in new greaseproof paper and aluminium foil. keep it at cool place till christmas,

    9Before serving again steam it for one hour, then cut the Xmas Pudding into small portions.

    10Serve Christmas Steamed Pudding with brandy sauce or custard or ice cream.
