Ingredients for Keema Matar (Minced Mutton with Peas)
10 gms ginger
12 flakes garlic
4 green chillies
2/3 cup vegetable oil
4 medium (400 gms) onions chopped
1/2 kg tomatoes chopped
2.5 tbsp coriander powder
1.5 tumeric powder
4 tsp red chilli powder
1 1/4 kg minced mutton
5 tsp salt
3 cups peas shelled
1/4 cup water
1 tsp garam masala powder
1 tbsp coriander leaves chopped.
Directions for Keema Matar (Minced Mutton with Peas)
1Grind together ginger, garlic and chillies into a paste
2Heat oil in a cooker for about 2 minutes. Add onions and fry till golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and stir for a few seconds
3Add tomatoes, coriander, turmeric and chilli powders. Cook till tomatoes are pulpy and oil separately (approx 5 minutes) stirring occasionally.
4Add mince. Stir and fry for about 5 minutes, breaking up any lumps while frying. Add salt, peas and water. Stir well.
5Close cooker. Bring to full pressure on high heat. Reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes
6Remove Cooker from heat. Allow to cool naturally.
