    Goan Beef Roast Recipe a very traditional and famous goan dish. I know this Goan Roast Beef / Beef Assado from my childhood which was prepared by my mom and I learnt this tasty recipe from her. Try to prepare goan roast beef / beef assado with the common ingredients at home. This meat roast recipe is a delicious dish where sandwiches can be made or further used to prepare beef chilli fry.     Ingredients for Goan Beef Roast Recipe, Beef Assado

    For Goan Beef Roast Marination

    4 tbsp ginger garlic paste

    1 tsp turmeric powder

    5 tbsp vinegar

    salt (as required)

    For Goan Roast Beef

    1 kg beef (undercut)

    2 sliced onions sliced

    2 red kashmiri chillies (half broken )

    10 cloves

    2 inch cinnamon stick

    10 peppercorns

    1 tsp cumin seeds

    1/2 tsp turmeric powder

    2 green chillies (sliced)

    2 tamarind balls (marble size, soaked in water)

    4 tbsp oil

    1 cup water

    Directions for Goan Beef Roast Recipe, Beef Assado

    1Nicely wash the beef and cut it into 4 -5 big pieces for Goan Roast Beef / Beef Assado

    2Now the pierce the meat pieces with the fork all over, so that the masala penetrates in the meat for better taste.

    3Now take the goan beef roast marination ingredients mentioned above and rub it all over the meat and marinate for 3 - 4 hours or keeping in the fridge for overnight would be much better.

    4Heat oil in the pressure oil, fry the sliced onions till slightly brown

    5Add the broken red chillies and fry for 1 mins

    6Then add cloves, cinnamon, peppercorns, cumin seeds, turmeric powder and fry for another minute

    7Then add the green chillies along with the meat and cook, till the meat becomes brown on all sides

    8Then add the tamarind water and little more water if required, and pressure cook the meat for 3-4 whistles, where the meat will becomes tender

    9Then open the cooker by releasing the steam, and further cook it adjusting the salt, gravy thickness, and the meat tenderness.

    10After getting cooked, get the meat to the room temperature and make slices, then put slices back to gravy and further cook till the gravy is covered and absorbed in the meat

    11And finally the Goan Beef Roast / Beef Assado is ready and you can make sandwiches or Goan Beef Chilli Fry of this cooked Goan Roast Beef
