Ingredients for Goan Sannas
2 cups Rice (parboiled rice) (washed and soaked overnight)
3/4 cup Grated Coconut
4 tbsp sugar
1 tsp Yeast
salt (as required)
Directions for Goan Sannas
1Drain the rice and grind finely with water
2Then Grind the coconut finely.
3Mix together rice, coconut, sugar, yeast
4Keep it aside for 3 hours till the mixture level rises
5Then add salt and mix well
6Grease the idli moulds and pour the batter in it.
7Then steam for 15-20 minutes.
8Serve Goan Sannas with goan pork sorpotel goes very well.
Add Toddy if available while grinding the coconut for better taste
